Data Cables
Here you will find screened S/FTP data cables for structured cabling, equipment connections and patch connections. The range includes SLAN and XLAN versions with solid conductors, as well as flexible XLAN cables. Category, application class, conductor construction, sheath and the required reaction-to-fire class are key selection criteria.
Select a data cable by application
| Requirement | Examples and characteristics |
|---|---|
| Category 7A with AWG 23/1 | SLAN 1000: solid copper conductors, frequency range up to 1000 MHz. PVC or halogen-free FRNC sheath; please specify the required version. |
| Category 7 with AWG 23/1 | XLAN 1000: solid copper conductors and a halogen-free FRNC sheath. Frequency range up to 1000 MHz, applications up to Class F (600 MHz). |
| Category 7A with AWG 22/1 | XLAN 1200 and XLAN 1500: solid copper conductors and a halogen-free FRNC sheath. Frequency ranges up to 1200 and 1500 MHz respectively, both for applications up to Class FA (1000 MHz). |
| Flexible equipment and patch connections | XLAN flex 600 and XLAN flex 1000: tinned copper strands, AWG 26/7, halogen-free FRNC sheath, Category 7 / Class F. Frequency ranges up to 600 and 1000 MHz respectively. |
All listed types have individual foil screens around the pairs and an overall copper braid screen. Category and frequency specifications must be considered separately: XLAN 1500 remains a Category 7A cable. A frequency specification of 1500 MHz does not make it a Cat 8 cable.
Specify the reaction-to-fire class and version
The overview includes XLAN 1000, 1200 and 1500 in B2ca, Cca and Dca versions. Please state the full required reaction-to-fire class. For Cca, distinguish between the d1 and d2 versions. Dimensions and fire load may differ by version.
Enquire about a data cable
Please specify the type or required category and application class, length, installation location, sheath and reaction-to-fire class. State whether you need fixed cabling or a flexible equipment connection. Include any specified connection components or PoE requirements.
Use the quick enquiry form below the table. Full electrical and mechanical specifications are provided in the linked datasheets.
